Canadian Pain Society Conference 2025: Understanding the Needs of Chronic Pain Patients and Their Caregivers

Armin Froozanfar, A PhD student at PSL, presented this poster at the Canadian Pain Society Conference 2025.
Chronic pain is complex, and so are the needs of patients and their informal caregivers. Our recent study explores how patient-centered design can make pain education tools more relevant and useful. We used a needs analysis and comparative evaluation to better understand what information people seek, how they want to receive it, and what existing tools are missing. The results show a clear demand for tools that are more emotionally supportive, interdisciplinary, and grounded in real-life experiences.
